Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness among women. According to the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty (NLCHP), more than 90% of homeless women are victims of severe physical or sexual abuse, and escaping that abuse is a leading cause of their homelessness.
Make their lives a little more comfortable by donating 1 pair of socks.
Our goal is to give a fresh pair of socks to each and every homeless person in Washington, DC and parts of Northern, VA, (i.e. 10,000 socks).
